Succinate

Succinic acid IUPAC systematic name: butanedioic acid; historically known as spirit of amber) is a dicarboxylic acid. Succinate plays a biochemical role in the citric acid cycle. The name derives from Latin succinum, meaning amber, from which the acid may be obtained.

Solifenacin (Vesicare) is a urinary antispasmodic of the anticholinergic class. It is used in the treatment of overactive bladder with or without urge incontinence. It is marketed and manufactured by Astellas and GlaxoSmithKline.

Sumatriptan (trade names Imitrex, Imigran, Imigran recovery) is a triptan drug including a sulfonamide group for the treatment of migraine headaches. It is marketed and manufactured by GlaxoSmithKline as well as various generic drug manufacturers.
